****HOME REMEDIES ON A BUDGET...... If you don't have the extra cash to spend on the "magic" potions, do not worry you may just have what you need right at home.

Remove grime from your iron: Set the iron on medium with no steam, then run it over a used fabric softener sheet. (the dirt will stick to the sheet)

Clean oven door and make it shine: Take a sponge and soak it in full strength distilled vinegar and let sit for 20 min. (the acid from the vinegar will break up the grease so it will wipe off easy)

Remove lint from clothing in the wash:  Add 1/2 cup white vinegar to the wash cycle. (Vinegar keeps lint from clinging to your clothes)

Brighten Whites: Add 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice to the rinse cycle of a medium load. (Acid in lemon juice breaks up the dirt)

Remove duct tape residue: wet a cloth with WD-40 (breaks down the adhesive)

Prevent bright colors from bleeding: Add 2 Tbs. of table salt with your detergent. ( Salt makes the dye adhere to the garment)

Bug proof houseplants: Steep lemon peel in 4 cups of water. Strain, let cool and spray on leaves. ( citrus oil from the lemons repels insects without harming the plants)

Make ink stain disappear: Rub a fresh lemon on fabric and let sit for 5-10 min. then wash in cold water. (The acid from lemon dissolves the stain)

Smooth away deep wrinkles: Place a large sheet of aluminum foil beneath the ironing boards cover, then lightly spritz the garment with water and press a usual. ( Neatly pressed clothing in a short time)

Smudge-less touch pad screen: clean touch pad phone screen with dampen cloth of vinegar. (Vinegar dissolves oil and grime)

Toenail fungus: apply full strength Listerine to the nail. (several compounds in Listerine act as a strong antiseptic)

Teeth whiting: brush with tsp. baking soda and Tbs. peroxide (baking soda scraps tough residue & peroxide lifts staining particles)
