Diet Meal Plan-Alternatives

There are so many "Diet" meal plans with tasteless choices. If the food doesn't "tingle" your taste buds  or is not filling, it's not impossible but it does make it much harder to stick to the plan. I've experimented with many of them and realized that I could substitute with alternatives that would make it easier for me to stick to the "Diet". Below is a list of  "Diet" alternatives that has helped me.

Strawberry Kiwifruit Kick "Hormone balance"
1 kiwifruit (peeled)
1 banana (peeled & frozen)
1 cup frozen strawberries
2 Tbs. flaxseed meal
2 6oz. nonfat strawberry yogurt
1 cup of low fat milk of your choice
(Blend all ingredients until smooth and serve)

Pineapple Surprise "Fat-burning"
1cup pineapple chunks
1 banana
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
1/2 cup of low fat milk of your choice
1/4 cup of fresh squeezed orange juice
(Blend all ingredients until smooth and serve)

"Hidden Veggie" Mexican Lasagna

1 lb. ground turkey

(#1-Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Cook cauliflower as package directs; drain. Mash cauliflower, ricotta cheese and 2/3 cup of Mexican cheese. #2- In skillet add vegetable oil, turkey and seasoning  until meat is browned. Add tomato paste, diced tomatoes and cilantro. Bring to a simmer. #3-grease 9"x 13" pan, layer noodles then cauliflower, cabbage, meat and salsa. Repeat layering. Top with remaining noodles. Cover with foil and baked 15 min. Remove foil and top with 1/3 cup of Mexican cheese. Serve.)
